CINCINNATI – Cincinnati’s largest manufacturer and distributor of barn door hardware was recently acquired by Cartel Holdings of Cincinnati and its new name and website has launched: Hingeless,

The Hingeless barn door hardware is trending among homeowners and is a new favorite of architects, home builders and interior designers. What sets the Cincinnati-owned company apart is the premium quality of the product, said Chris Swain, CEO of Cartel Holdings of Cincinnati.

The hardware is hot-rolled steel that is cut, drilled and fabricated in its own Cincinnati workshop and all of the components are sourced locally. In addition to cast iron wheels, the hardware boasts of powder coating instead of just being painted, which can chip and is not as durable, Swain said. “This is the type of quality that lasts for generations,” he added.

The sliding barn door trend is popular for pantries, laundry rooms, entryways, as room dividers and even for home entertainment systems. According to Swain, architects and designers are constantly finding new ways to incorporate the look “any area where a pocket door may have once been considered.”
