Off The Hinges is now Hingeless!16. March 2016
CINCINNATI – Cincinnati’s largest manufacturer and distributor of barn door hardware was recently acquired by Cartel Holdings of Cincinnati and its new name and website has launched: Hingeless, www.Hingeless.com.
The Hingeless barn door hardware is trending among homeowners and is a new favorite of architects, home builders and interior designers. What sets the Cincinnati-owned company apart is the premium quality of the product, said Chris Swain, CEO of Cartel Holdings of Cincinnati.
The hardware is hot-rolled steel that is cut, drilled and fabricated in its own Cincinnati workshop and all of the components are sourced locally. In addition to cast iron wheels, the hardware boasts of powder coating instead of just being painted, which can chip and is not as durable, Swain said. “This is the type of quality that lasts for generations,” he added.
The sliding barn door trend is popular for pantries, laundry rooms, entryways, as room dividers and even for home entertainment systems. According to Swain, architects and designers are constantly finding new ways to incorporate the look “any area where a pocket door may have once been considered.”
The Hingeless brand is proud to be made in the USA and all shipping from its showroom is free. It also offers an industry-related re-seller program. Hingeless is committed to its vision of providing superior quality sliding door hardware while benefiting the community, providing local jobs and maintaining its reputation for great customer service, Swain said.
Because orders come in from all over the country, Hingeless takes the extra step to help customers by working with a team of door builders throughout several states. The customer’s style is discussed and geographical location is considered when making any door builder referrals.
Since its acquisition in January, Hingeless – formerly called Off The Hinges – has capitalized on its rebranding and demonstrated a 30 percent sales growth, Swain said. The relaunch of the company provided the opportunity to create a new name that completely “conveys what we do and promotes a higher level of brand awareness,” he said.
Because of the building and designing buzz surrounding the barn door look, Hingeless customers take advantage of its website as well as Pinterest and Instagram – customer-shared photos and ideas continue to populate its portfolio. The Cincinnati showroom is available by appointment only.
